Who we are

CAT WATER FOUNTAIN at catwaterfountain.org is operated by Yinhao Zhou, trading as CAT WATER FOUNTAIN. For privacy questions, email service@catwaterfountain.org.

Information we collect and use

• Shopping and orders: selected products, cart contents, order details, name, email, billing and delivery addresses, and any phone number or order notes you provide. We use these to process orders, arrange delivery, send updates, handle returns and maintain business records.
• Customer support: your email, message, order reference and information you choose to provide. Website forms also record your consent time. We use this information to handle your enquiry; contacting support does not subscribe you to marketing.
• Newsletter signup: your email and signup consent record, used for the product news and cat-care updates you request. You can withdraw consent by emailing us. Marketing emails, when sent, will include an unsubscribe method. Order-related messages are separate from marketing.
• Technical information: hosting and website services may process IP addresses, browser/device information, access times, requested pages and error/security logs to operate and protect the store. Our contact-form protection uses a short-lived identifier derived from an IP address to limit repeated submissions.

Do not send card details, passwords, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information through email or our contact form.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies and similar browser storage to maintain shopping sessions, remember cart contents and support security. Login cookies are used where login is available. You can remove or block cookies in your browser, but this may affect the cart or checkout. Duration varies by purpose and browser settings.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand visits and shopping activity, such as pages viewed, products viewed, items added to a cart, checkout starts and purchase events. Analytics may process cookie identifiers, browser and device information, approximate location and interaction data. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, delivery address or support-message contents to Google Analytics. Google explains its processing at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Our current Google Analytics settings retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, with the user-data period reset by new activity. These settings do not apply to most aggregated standard reports. Google Signals and collection of user-provided data are not enabled.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser. You can also use Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in a supported browser to prevent Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing visit activity with Google Analytics. This does not stop information needed by our website to operate the store or information collected by other services.

Who handles information

Our WordPress/WooCommerce store is hosted by Hostinger. Form submissions and orders are stored in the website database. Lark provides our customer-service mailbox and email delivery; WP Mail SMTP connects website email to that service. Authorized administrators can access information needed to operate the store and provide support.

For shipping from China to the United States, we share necessary delivery and order information with fulfilment partners, carriers and, where required, customs authorities. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

Payments through Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe receives payment details and information needed to process and protect the transaction, such as your name, email, billing address, order amount, transaction identifiers and device or network information. Our store receives payment status, transaction references and limited payment-method details; we do not store your full card number or card security code in our website database.

Stripe and the payment method you choose may use cookies or similar technologies to process payments and help prevent fraud. If you choose a wallet or Link, that provider also processes information under its own terms and privacy notice. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

International processing

We serve U.S. customers and have management and fulfilment operations in China. Information may be accessed in China and processed in countries where our hosting, email, delivery and other providers operate. Privacy laws can differ between countries.

Retention

• Unpaid orders: pending-payment, failed and cancelled orders are scheduled to be moved to the store’s trash after 30 days. Trashed records may remain until the normal trash-cleanup process runs; this is not a promise of permanent deletion exactly on day 30.
• Support enquiries: we retain enquiry records for 12 months after the issue is resolved, then review and remove them manually unless still needed for an active dispute or legal obligation.
• Newsletter records: if you unsubscribe, we stop marketing to you and retain only information necessary to record and respect that choice, subject to applicable obligations.
• Paid order records: we retain records needed for accounting, tax, refunds, fraud prevention and disputes. The retention period depends on applicable recordkeeping requirements and any unresolved refund, dispute or legal claim. We review these records and remove or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Your choices

Email service@catwaterfountain.org to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or withdraw newsletter consent. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity. We will respond as required by applicable law. Legal obligations, transaction records or unresolved disputes may limit deletion; we will explain where a request cannot be fully fulfilled. Additional rights may apply depending on where you live and applicable law.

Security and children

We use HTTPS and restrict administrative access to the website and mailbox. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Contact us if you suspect misuse of information related to our store.

This store is intended for adult purchasers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Updates and contact
