Strength

• The pump running sound of the Pioneer Raindrop pet fountain is perfectly controlled. There are three settings on the pump and the first one gives no sounds whatsoever. The second setting gets the sound of trickling water but the pump is still quiet.

• This Pioneer pet fountain is easy to clean with no hard-to-reach corners, better than the Drinkwell and Petmate fountains which require disassembly and special brushes for cleaning.

• There is little possibility of leaking or splashing because of the way it is designed (top ceramic dish sits on top of the main bowl and there is just a small stream).

• The size and capacity make this Pioneer Raindrop pet fountain most ideal for 1-2 cats household.

• The Stainless Steel ones allow for easier cleaning and won’t harbor so many sorts of bacteria like plastic ones. Furthermore, they are much lighter than the Ceramic ones.

• The Ceramic ones also allow for easier cleaning and won’t harbor so many sorts of bacteria like plastic ones. And it looks more decent if put in kitchen.

 

Weakness

• Pioneer Raindrop pet fountain‘s 60 ounces of water capacity requires refilling almost daily.

• The filter needs to be replaced once a month and that might get pricy.

• For the Stainless Steel and Ceramic Fountains, the bottom pan and upper cover are stainless steel while the pump and pump/filter housing are plastic, which still makes water constantly contact plastic.
